October 28, 2013
Thank you for your support of today’s indoor carnival fundraiser.
Group (class) photos will be taken tomorrow, Tuesday, October 29. ALL STUDENTS WILL BE IN THE PHOTO. THEY MUST BE IN FULL UNIFORM INCLUDING TIES FOR ALL STUDENTS IN GRADES 6,7 AND 8.
Individual photos will be taken Wednesday, October 30. The students may either wear their uniform or your choice of clothing. However, all clothing must meet the dress code found in the Parent Student Handbook.
ONLY GRADES PRE-K, KINDERGARTEN AND GRADE 1 WILL HAVE A CELEBRATION ON HALLOWEEN. The teachers of those grades have sent home directions concerning any celebration.
IT WILL BE A REGULAR SCHOOL DAY FOR GRADES 2-8.
Boy’s after school fitness for grades 6, 7 and 8 which is usually held on Thursday afternoon will be canceled on Halloween. I do not think it is safe to dismiss them at 4:15 on Halloween. All students should go directly home at dismissal on October 31.
Friday, November 1 is All Saint’s Day, which is a holiday of obligation in the Catholic Church. Grades 1-8 will attend 8:30 Mass. You are invited to worship with your child at Mass.
Friday, November 1 is a half day. The teachers will attend a faculty meeting. Dismissal is at 12:00 for Pre-K/K and 12:15 for Grades 1-8. THE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM WILL BE OPEN.
Some parents regularly keep their child home on half days. Every time you keep your child home he/she is missing 4 hours of instruction.
There will be a Breakfast with Santa fundraiser on Saturday, December 7. Each class will make a raffle basket around a particular theme. The teachers will either ask you to donate an item or you will be asked for a donation and they will purchase the basket items. Thank you in advance for your help and cooperation.
Is your child reading and studying along with the written homework each night?
